Annual events on behalf of the Morris Museum are an important
tradition in the Morris County region.The fall gala is an annual
dinner and auction. Holiday Tree Festival features
a dramatic display of beautiful holiday items. The annual Golf Classic is a
highlight for golf enthusiasts. Proceeds
from these events support the museum’s education and
exhibition programs.

This gala fundraising dinner/dance is sponsored by The Friends of the Morris Museum, to support the many wonderful programs, exhibitions and performances at the museum and Bickford Theatre.
The theme of the gala complements the exhibition, Icons of Costume, Hollywood's Golden Era and Beyond, which premieres at the gala, and opens at the museum on Sunday, October 3, 2010. "Hollywood Glam" will have decor highlighted by an exclusive showing of movie memorabilia and film posters from a privately owned New Jersey collection.
"Hollywood Glam" will be held throughout the museum's exquisite spaces, including the dramatic glass Grand Pavilion, as well as the sky-lit Museum Court. Festivities include signature cocktail (served from JFK's silver cocktail shaker), appetizers, a sumptuous sit-down dinner, dancing and and a live auction featuring fabulous offerings.

Kick off the holiday season at the Morris Museum's annual festive event! Guests will enjoy cocktails and sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and have the opportunity to visit our Holly Shoppes to preview and purchase boutique items that include toys, dolls, scarves, jewelry, decorative items for the home, ornaments and handcrafted holiday items.

Museum supporters and golf enthusiasts will enjoy a day of fun, fellowship, camaraderie and of course – GOLF!
The day will begin with a luncheon, followed by the tournament.
Rockaway River Country Club Golf Course (2010 Golf Classic)
In the evening, guests will enjoy cocktails, dinner and the presentation of the event’s awards. Prizes will be awarded to women, men and seniors for: Hole-In-One, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, Straightest Drive. The evening will also include a 50/50 raffle, tricky-tray and silent auction. Proceeds from the Golf Classic support the museum’s high-caliber exhibitions, collections and education programs for children, seniors and families.
