Beat the crowds with early access. See live, narrated presentations of glassworking using a 4,000°F torch. Stop by and observe the fascinating process of flameworking in the pavilion before you tour the Museum.

During each presentation, you’ll see the flameworker melt rods and tubes in a flame and then shape the softened glass into any variety of objects, from glass animals and beads to ornaments and sculptures. As they work, the artist will explain what they are doing and offer interesting facts about the art and science of glass.

This series of demos was inspired by the breathtaking exhibition, From Flame to Flower: The Art of Paul J. Stankard. Stop by and observe the fascinating process of flameworking in the pavilion before you tour the exhibition.

Join our Toys for Tots drive and deliver hope to children this holiday season. Bring a new packaged toy and drop it off at our front desk.

Major support for this project is provided by Susanne and Edward von der Linde. Additional support is provided by Will and Mary Leland.
