Glassblowing Sessions
with the Morris County School of Glass
Drawing inspiration from the exhibition, From Flame to Flower: the Art of Paul J. Stankard, the Morris Museum is collaborating with the Morris County School of Glass to offer specialized Glassblowing Class programming on Sunday, October 29! This program will be off-site and take place at the Morris County School of Glass.
This is the ultimate Beginner Level class created just for you! Learn to manipulate 2,100-degree liquid glass into beautiful and useful objects of your choice with the help of talented artist instructors. Upon arrival, students can choose from a variety of project types such as a flower, bowl, paperweight, sun catcher, heart, rustic bud vase, or ornament. Pick your project, colors and patterns – and get ready to make something unique to you!
Each glassblowing time slot is a ticket for a one-on-one class. Coming with family/friends? Depending on availability, you may select more than one time slot. To work together, select consecutive timeslots. Each ticket is valid for one person per session. The 30-minute time slot is sufficient for one person to make the glass object of their choice.
This cost includes 1 free General Admission ticket to the Morris Museum to see the exhibition that inspired it all- From Flame to Flower: The Art of Paul J. Stankard. Simply bring a copy of your Print at Home Ticket (receipt of payment) to the Morris Museum to redeem.
Students ages 8-17 must have a legal parent/guardian sign a waiver upon arrival in order to participate. If the legal guardian is not arriving with the underage student, please call the Morris County School of Glass during open hours to ask for the waiver to be sent in advance via email. All waivers will be provided directly to the Morris County School of Glass.
