Decorative gourds offer a chance to celebrate the harvest with their wonderful colors, shapes and textures.
Bring a decorative gourd (no larger than 6 inches long), or pumpkin (mini variety), to draw from. We will use a combination of regular colored pencils with watercolor colored pencils to learn the basics in, proportion, form, tone, and value. Techniques for color matching, and blending to create subtle color variations will also be covered. Open to all levels, with plenty of guidance and step-by-step demonstrations. Join us for some creative time as we kick off the autumnal season!
For new students: Bring $5.25 (cash only) to defray the cost of a sheet of Dura-Lar matte film.
Art supplies must be purchased in advance of this workshop.
