This film offers a private view of the largest ever exhibition of Vermeer’s work, presented by the Rijksmuseum and the Mauritshuis in the Hague. The film, featuring the Director of the Rijksmuseum and the curator of the exhibition, presents extensive research by the two museums into Vermeer’s artistry, motivations, and creative process.
With loans from across the world, this major retrospective will bring together Vermeer’s most famous masterpieces including Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Geographer, The Milkmaid, The Little Street, Lady Writing a Letter with her Maid, and Woman Holding a Balance. Watch exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews and footage that explores Vermeer and his most famous work.
