Moving! Robotics, Automata, and the Stories We Tell

Moving! Robotics, Automata, and the Stories We Tell

Robotics competitions showcase technical and engineering-based skills. This museum exhibition adds art to the mix.

This exhibition offers technologically and artistically accomplished New Jersey-area university and high school students a professionally organized museum gallery experience. The Morris Museum invited participants to think about the way their works draw connections between contemporary robotics design and nineteenth-century automata, and inspire the next generation to find creative and artistic applications for robotic design.

The exhibition will also draw connections between contemporary robotics STE(A)M design and nineteenth-century automata from the museum’s historic Murtogh D. Guinness Collection.

Leadership support for this exhibition is provided by Will and Mary Leland.
