Everyone is invited to a full day celebrating the staged reading of Supernatural: The Play, a powerful piece about seven women confronting their hair and themselves. With humor, heart, and unflinching honesty, the play opens a conversation about the cultural and legal battles Black women have fought over their hair, from schools and workplaces policing natural styles to the fight for the CROWN Act. Filled with stories of triumph, the reading will make you laugh and reflect on the beauty of what God gave you. Named one of L.A.’s top shows to watch by Stage Raw, the production has drawn acclaim and sold-out audiences across the country for more than a decade. The day will also feature a variety of vendors and an empowering talkback after the reading, giving everyone a chance to connect.
