Intro to Textile Art

Mondays, January 5 – March 9, 2026, from 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM
NO class on January 19th & February 16th

Discover the rich, expressive world of textile, stitchery and collage in this immersive 8-week course that blends history, and hands-on mixed-media artistry. From cultural traditions to contemporary techniques, participants will be introduced to a wide range of mixed-media methods that have been used throughout history. An expressive journey through the use of stitch and needle, this is not be a traditional embroidery class.

Throughout this interactive course, new approaches and insights will be introduced, enriching the individual’s work-in-progress. The course culminates in a personal stitched textile art collage that will be both technically rich and uniquely expressive. This class offers a vibrant and creative space to stitch, learn, and connect, for all levels of experience.

Students are required to purchase supplies in advance and come prepared for the first class.

This course is for adults ages 18 and older.
