Decorative gourds offer a chance to celebrate the harvest with their wonderful colors, shapes and textures.
Bring any type of decorative gourd, or mini pumpkin to draw from. Decorative gourds should be no larger than 6 inches long, and pumpkins should be of the “mini” variety.
We’ll use a combination of regular colored pencils with watercolor colored pencils to learn the basics of proportion, form, tone, and value. There will be a review of color mixing as well. Open to all levels, with plenty of guidance and step-by-step demonstrations. Join us for some creative time as we record this year’s bounty!
For new students: Bring $2.25 (cash only) to defray the cost of a sheet of Dura-Lar matte film.
Registration is not finalized until your payment information has been received by the Arts Coordinator.
- To ensure a seat, and that classes will not be canceled due to low enrollment, registrations should be completed no later than 1 week prior to the course start date.
