In honor of Black History Month (February), this exhibition explores over 300 years of race relations between Black and white residents in Morris County and greater New Jersey.
Organized by Bethel Church of Morristown, NJ and curated by Claudia Ocello of Museum Partners Consulting, this series of panels traces the “ties” that inextricably link black and white residents together through periods of conflict and cooperation on issues such as slavery, civil rights, religion, education, and housing.
Funding for this exhibition is provided by the NJ Council for the Humanities, Morris County Heritage Commission Re-Grant Program and the Friends of the Morristown & Morirs Township Library.
